A vow is a voluntary commitment to act.keep your wordWe usually think of a vow in relation to a marriage ceremony.  We vow that for better or worse, in sickness and in health, until death do us part, we will act based on love for the other person. By the voluntarily words and deeds of our daily lives we live out that vow.  It takes focused and dedicated effort to fulfill vows.  A vow is not to be taken lightly.  In Numbers 30 is says “This is what God commands: When a man makes a vow to God or binds himself by an oath to do something, he must not break his word; he must do exactly what he has said.”
